SEE Telecom with its local partner RadioPartners provided the radio coverage of the newly built road tunnel under the Luboń Mały mountain in Poland.
The tunnel is a part of the S7 highway which connects Krakow to ski resort Zakopane and the Slovak border.
The road tunnel is composed of 2 tubes of 2057m in length. The radiocommunication system designed by SEE Telecom performs the retransmission of:
- Four FM channels with emergency break-in feature enabling transmission of emergency messages in both road tunnel tubes
- Seven VHF simplex service channels
- Four VHF duplex service channels
- One UHF local repeater for maintenance and operational purposes
The tunnel significantly facilitates (40 minutes faster) the passage of long-distance cross-border as well as regional traffic between Kraków and Zakopane.
