SEE Telecom’ solutions now equip the Courier tunnel (Annecy, France).
KOARIO has been selected by the city of Annecy (Haute-Savoie, France) to equip the Courier tunnel with SEE TELECOMsee smart®road tunnel system. The global architecture is composed as follow:
• RF system to retransmit:
- INPT, French national radio safety network
- RIP, tactical radio network for fire fighters
- 4 channels TETRA for operating network
• One physical server containing:
- see smart® SWITCH system
- see smart® digiGUARD (Monitoring management software)
The Courier tunnel crosses the center of the city of Annecy, which operates it. It was built in March 2001 with the aim of serving a pedestrian area on the one hand, and on the other hand to serve as access to the underground car parks of an urban area composed of a shopping center, cinemas, residential buildings and public spaces.
It has two tubes with two lanes of one-way traffic. One has a length of 590 m. The other has a length of 380 m. The annual average daily traffic amounts to 10,600 vehicles per day for the first, and 3,300 vehicles per day for the second.
