Los Mulatos tunnel is a portion of highway called Pacifico 2, which will connect the Department of Antioquia with the Coffee Triangle and the southwest of the country. The tunnel has two tubes of 2422 m long. Thanks to this tunnel, the travel time between Cali and Medellín will be reduced from 15 upto 5 hours. 

The system is built for the retransmission of:

• Four FM channels with emergency break-in feature enabling transmission of an emergency message.
• Two VHF duplex service channels
• Two UHF duplex service channels.
