SEE Telecom's expertise in the development of telecommunications solutions in critical environments was called upon for this large-scale project, in collaboration with Equans on behalf of Bruxelles Mobilité.
The Annie Cordy tunnel (formerly Leopold II tunnel) is the longest road tunnel in Belgium with a length of 2531 m.
Renovated between 2018 and 2021, it took the name "tunnel Annie Cordy", the famous Belgian singer and actress (1928-2020), when it reopened in May 2022.

The digital monitoring is done through see smart® DigiGUARD software. Installed in operating centers, see smart® DigiGUARD is an essential tool to get the best view of the see smart® tunnel radio system and guarantee perfect maintenance at the best cost. It allows monitoring of not only SEE Telecom's equipment but also monitoring of third-party equipment.
The radio coverage system includes:
- 19 FM and 2 DAB channels
- Belgian national public safety network TETRA ASTRID
- Digital Monitoring System
- Insertion of emergency messages
The tunnel now meets the strictest quality and safety criteria.
