Recently, SEE Telecom has delivered the equipment for the radio coverage system of the new Gayrettepe–Istanbul Grand Airport metro line (Line M11).
For this project, SEE Telecom provided a custom design to meet radio coverage requirements. As a result, a radio communication system is built to relay:
- 1 UHF duplex channel for the police
- 1 duplex UHF channel for firefighters
- 2 UHF TETRA carriers for maintenance and operation.
The purpose of the M11 line is to provide direct and quick access from Istanbul Grand Airport (IGA) to Gayrettepe, the main commercial center of Istanbul. The line has 9 stations and has a total length of 37.2 km.
The M11 line will connect with other rapid transit lines, becoming an important link between the new airport and the city, and is expected to carry around 94 million passengers annually.
